Reeve follows and imaginary line, more than 22,000 miles long, that cuts through some of the most remote regions of the southern hemisphere.

The Tropic of Capricorn marks the southern edge of the Earth’s tropical zone. It runs through the deserts of Namibia and Botswana, the rainforests of Madagascar, the outback of Australia and the beaches and high Andes of South America.

It’s home to remarkable ecosystems, teaming cities, extraordinary people and wildlife but also extreme poverty and environmental destruction.
