“Enlightening and sometimes emotional wildlife film”– The Telegraph

(Buffalo Pictures ITV1 2012)
CREDITS

They live only on Madagascar, and one by one, they are dying out. Impish, precocious and endearing, the planet’s last surviving lemurs are unique to a paradise island that has turned into their hell. Already Madagascar has lost ninety per cent of its forests, their natural habitat.

Clunes travels to this stunning Indian Ocean island to witness what many fear is the lemur’s last stand, meeting those who are desperately trying to save them before it’s too late.

Although saddened by what he sees of the destruction of the forests, Martin is also inspired by the dedicated work of both international and local conservationists who are doing everything in their power to save the lemurs that are left.
