“Five stars. Epic journey from tropical islands to the front line of the war on piracy” – Daily Mail
(BBC Vision 6 x 1 hrs BBC2)
CREDITS
Travelling around the rim of the ocean, Reeve uncovers stories from some of the world's most remote, most dangerous and most beautiful locations.
An epic journey takes him from the paradise of the Maldives to the dangers of the streets of Mogadishu. Reeve begins his trip at the tip of South Africa, follows the African coastline of Africa north, then skirts the Middle East and India, ending in Australia.
The history of Indian Ocean exploration has been shaped by the monsoon winds that carried travellers to and fro across the seas and these powerful forces of nature still shape the lives of those who live along its shores today.
